Classes
We currently teach regular classes throughout the Leeds and West Yorkshire Area and also in Cornwall
In addition, we provide occasional talks, seminars, workshops, short courses, demonstrations, private tuition, life coaching, personal training, psychotherapy and consultation sevices on request.
The classes listed on this page are primarily Tai Chi classes. If you are interested in studying Bagua or Hsing Yi please phone us on 0113 2481290 to discuss suitable training options.
However:
Bagua can now be practiced in those Tai Chi classes marked B, though please note that these are primarily Tai Chi classes, not exclusively Bagua classes, therefore while some Bagua support is available during the session, you would be expected to spend some time practicing the Bagua skills on your own.
Home study options are also now available,
including a Ba Gua DVD and manual.

We provide occasional seminars and workshops on various topics of interest to our students.
There is a full instructor training programme available within the school for those students achieving an apporopriate level of martial arts skills and knowledge together with sound interpersonal skills.
Private tuition, customised courses, personal fitness training, life coaching, psychotherapy, talks, demonstrations and consultation services are also available on request.
(Corresponding to Stage 1, Stage 2 and Stage 3 assessment criteria previously approved by theTai Chi Union for Great Britain and NCFE)
*Level 1 One short hand form such as 24 step or Cheng man Ching (or equivalent) to a reasonable standard, incorporating basic Tai Chi principles, plus some familiarity with basic fixed step pushing hands and the martial applications of ward off, roll back, press and push.
Level 2 Two short hand forms or one long form, plus a sword form, to a very good standard, incorporating technical correctness in posture and footwork, fluidity of movement and a sound understanding of Tai Chi principles and the ability to apply a range of movements from the form in a martial context. Competence in fixed step push hands and moving step push hands drills.
Level 3 Includes advanced skills across a full Tai Chi syllabus including the use of a weapon and appropriate martial skills.
Students may then continue to progress by widening and deepening their studies, developing and exploring areas of interest and perhaps passing on their skills and knowledge to others. Those students who complete our programme of instructor training and assessment and achieve the Instructor's Certificate in Tai Chi Chuan are recommended by us to the Tai Chi Union for Great Britain for Instructor Membership (subject to approval by the TCUGB Technical Panel).
